Otley Pubs

Pub Last ReportedStatus Latest News27/3/14
The Bay Horse Open & Trading 3 Yorkshire Guest Beers always available. Now varied food. £2.60/pint offers! Free veg curry with drink.
The Black Bull Open & Trading Still a lunchtime favourite. Newly repainted – looks grand.
The Black Horse Closed Still closed. A poor reflection on the way things are at present. But possible hope for the TdF following OPC’s actions to Enterprise and the Press.
The Bowling Green Open & Trading Current beer festival. (Might as well just leave that there all the time).
The Cross Pipes Open & Trading Music themed nights started.Loads of other stuff.
The Fleece Open & Trading Good range of real ales. New Chefs appointed. Reports of very good food.
The Horse & Farrier Open & Trading New menu. New manager. Minor refurbishment – separate tap room back and a real fire for winter. And spring.
The Junction Open & Trading Live music Tuesdays, Quiz Wednesdays. Outside smoking area at back.
The Manor House Open & Trading Open and seems to be doing ok.
The Old Cock Open & Trading Constantly changing range of micro real ales. Leeds Camra pub of the year again.
The Red Lion Open & Trading Phew! Taken over and re-opened by two previous and well-liked chaps. The pairing is saved!
The Ring o’Bells (The Otley Tavern) Open & Trading The Otley Tavern. Now operated by our (former) Chair & Membership Sec.! 4 Real ales @ £2.50/pint. Superb quality Wharfebank. What an improvement!
The Rose & Crown Open & Trading Local guest beer added. Events planned.
The Summercross Closed. Demolition of toilet block complete. Closure now irreversible? OPC has contacted the ‘Developers’ and pleaded with them to either do the decent thing and sell it on so it can be re-opened as a pub, or get on with the development since it looks so awful. Cynically, they say they will start ‘within the next 18 months’. A great advert for the town and the TdF. Not.
Whitakers Arms Open & Trading Major refurbishment completed – and a grand job too. Live bands and music nights. Look at the wallpaper maps!
The White Swan Open & Trading  Major re-fit has done amazing tings to this place. Smart, tasteful and now seems twice as big. Got to be seen! A good range of local real ales too. Quiz on Tuesdays, Cask Ale night Wednesdays.
The Woolpack Closed and no longer a Pub (Enterprise) Now a studio business. (anyone been in?)
The Yeoman Closed – now owned by Tate Fuel Oils Tate’s confirm will not re-open as a pub.
The Yew Tree Open & Trading Refurbishment completed and mighty fine it is too. Also still with what must be the most genuine tap ‘oil in Otley. Grand food reported as well.
