Season’s Greetings from Otley Pub Club!
We’re not sending a full newsletter out this month, but on behalf of Otley Pub Club, I want to wish all our members and Otley’s famous pubs and those who run and work in them a happy festive season.
We’re set for a good Christmas and New Year, with lots happening and it’s always great to see the effort many of the pubs have gone too with Christmas decorations. Some of our pubs look like Christmas cards!
Victorian Fayre – Junction win the Elise Brumfitt Trophy
A big thanks to all the pubs who took part in the annual Elise Brumfitt Victorian Alehouse Award at this years Victorian Fayre for the best dressed and decorated pub. In the most competitive contest ever, the title this year was taken by the Junction, with Whitakers in second, the Black Bull in third and the Stew and Oyster and Black Horse as highly commended – but it was great to see so many of the pubs looking great. Thanks to our judges too!

Otley Taphouse Official Re-opening
This Friday evening, after a £15,000 refurbishment, ‘the Taps’ is having a party to celebrate its official re-opening! Come along and join David and Eileen and Josh and the team!

Stew and Oyster – Gin Lovers January – New Year’s Eve event
The Stew and Oyster are having a special Gin Loves January event on January 31st, a perfect present for any gin lover! Sample Gins from Slingsby and Jawbox served with Fevertree Mixers along with Tapas. £20.

Christmas Opening Hours
Many of our famous pubs and bars have different opening times over the festive period, so do please check with each one. We do have pubs open on Christmas Day as well as all the other key times.
Otley Pub Club Christmas Party
Thank you to the Stew and Oyster for hosting our first ever Christmas Party, a big thanks to Karl and team for an excellent night and great buffet! It was really nice to have this appreciation of our work and a really nice occasion. Thanks to all the Pub Club members who came along, we hope to see you at future events.

Finally on behalf of Otley Pub Club, we just want to say a very merry Christmas and also a special thanks to all Otley’s publicans and pub staff who work so hard over the festive season. Whilst those on the other side of the bar will be celebrating, they will be working very hard throughout the festive season to serve us and our community. So thank you! May 2020 be a good one for all.
