Otley Pub Club, in partnership with Otley Pub Walkers, are delighted to present the next in our series of Pub-based events. The Summer* of Love Stroll. This fancy dress 4 pub walk (approx. 0.6mile or 1km for you younger hippies!) through Otley is set to take place on Saturday the 27th of July. The event is intended entirely as a fun and social event themed around celebration of peace, love and the general hippy vibe. It is free to join but pre-registration is requested. Registration is available via the Eventbrite site Summer of Love Eventbrite (Click Here) All you need do is book, find a costume, turn up and join us!
Come with us as we recreate The Hippie Trail (well not really, but you’ll get the idea)
Join us for a short (sociable) 4 pub meander through Otley. Celebrate the “fashion” of 1960s and 70s Hippies. Travel with us eastwards in search of enlightenment, wisdom, peace and universal harmony! (…And maybe a beer or a glass of wine?).
At 5pm assemble with us by the banks of the mystical river Wharfe (Fleece Garden!) and join the flow west to east across Otley in search of wisdom (and possibly beer). Follow the flow of the river on its ancient journey to the sea, as it echoes our movement towards enlightenment. Pass an ancient site of worship before descending into the fleshpots of the town. Hang out in a cool venue. Move on through European** inspiration, perhaps enjoying food with roots stretching back to the decadence of Ancient Rome! Finally, in our most easterly spot, rest and relax while dancing the night away to records.
Groovy fancy dress encouraged! Passports not required (unless you get id request!)
Participation will be free, pre-registration is requested:
