Shadow Brewing Taproom

Start up microbrewery based in Otley, West Yorkshire.

Shadow Brewing starting selling beers to the public in April 2019, but the story really begins a couple of years beforehand when alongside some friends they bought some basic equipment and started to experiment with brewing. Through support from other breweries, both locally and nationally they’ve now produced dozens of beers for pubs and bars, festivals and for the public. Their commitment to themselves is that they’ll never make beers that they wouldn’t be happy to drink (even though sometimes the beers have sold out before they’ve had the chance), and they’ll always support the communities in which they operate as much as they can.

After operating out of a residential address, Shadow Brewing now occupies a former shop located in Otley’s Boroughgate in the centre of town. Trial openings of the Tap Room commenced late August 2021.
